New Appointments at CUBIC

CUBIC is pleased to announce the appointment of Miss Mariaan Jaftha to the position of Senior MR Radiographer. 

Mariaan has extensive experience working in both government and private practice that includes a small stint as a locum at Tygerberg Hospital.

Having graduated from Peninsula Technikon in 1999, she spent 2 years working at New Somerset Hosptial in Green Point before leaving our shores for England where she lived and worked for 12 years before making her way back home.

"MRI is my passion and I always knew I wanted to be able to make a significant contribution to the radiography industry. This is how I made the decision to leave home and work (and travel) overseas," said Mariaan.

Whilst abroad, Jaftha worked at some of the UK's prestigious medical institutions such as the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore as well as the London Bridge Hospitals. "It was a really fantastic time as it allowed me to work with some of the UK's finest while at the same time afforded me the opportunity to travel and explore other countries and continents.

"I've learnt that MRI is the gift that keeps on giving, because there is always an opportunity to learn more. Coming home and being able to be a part of the CUBIC team - particularly the research element - allows for just that. I'm excited to see how my experience together with learning from the extraordinary team here, brings that to life," said Mariaan.
